Induction Accessory Set designed for use with the existing version of our Dissectible Transformer (B8H26564).

Set comprises of:

  • A six turn copper coil which allows you to show the production of a heavy current at low voltage by the melting of a nail.
  • A solder trough to demonstrate the principle of the induction furnace
  • A set of aluminium rings to show 'Thomson's rings' effect. Two rings are 'solid', the third split to show that the rings must be continuous for 'levitation' to take place.

A Mains coil is not included but is required for certain experiments and can be purchased separately (B8R08129).
